Well darlings, I've finally finished moving into the house across town. Closing on the old one will occur next week and then the old girl goes into other hands.
I know it's ridiculous to put your heart into a pile of wood and bricks because a home is really about the people who inhabit the place. But I did put my heart into it and there's a little piece of me that will need time to recover. Hopefully the new owner will be a good steward of the old gal.

Congrats! Is the image of the new or old home? Beautiful, either way.
That's the old one. Today I'll be digging up a few of the more unique plants. Not the best time to be transplanting some things but will do my best.
She was a "Grand Old Dame"
You will miss her for a while. Until the new girl impants her personality on you....
Are you taking some of your Peony Rose?... What is your secret?
I just have no luck growing them. Have had one struggling away for 7 years now. gets to about 1 1/2 foot high and has never flowered since it came home from the nursery? What am i doing wrong?
Enjouy settling in to your new abode.
She's a beauty.
I have a feeling that you'll bring your loving touch to the new home.
wow, beautiful shot of a beautiful house. surely the new one's just as pretty.
oh my goodness! This place is gorgeous!
Thanks everyone. I will miss her.
Princess, there must be something about the soil and the hardiness zone which cause the peonies to thrive. I do absolutely nothing except to cut the entire plant to the ground in late fall. There are some existing at the new house so I won't be transplanting any of those.
I wish I had your masterful hand at roses. They are stunning.
