Guy, Lawrence and The Merry Widow Waltz

Yesterday was a city-wide garage sale day here in Nowhereburg. On my way to a friend's restaurant for afternoon blueberry pie I found this little number for $25. They even loaded it in my car.

I was finally able to purchase the Guy Lombardo and Lawrence Welk albums from a local thrift shop that have been calling out to me for more than a year.

My grandmother had quite a few console stereos over the years. Like her hair, the bigger the better. They always sat in her living room where she played albums sharing with everyone her devotion to God and Roger Whittaker. I remember the year she bought one that included an 8-track player. She kept a piece of plastic wrap over the 8-track player to keep the dust off of it. I miss her.

It's also great for lighting a ciggie.
